With unique hand-tufted rugs, aparts explore the rug's purpose in our surroundings. This is by investigating how the rug, through its shape and placement, can become an integral part of the architecture and interior. With playfulness and great focus on form, colour, and the haptic experience - a dialogue is created between the rug, the room, and its inhabitants.

The studio is based in Malmö, and is run by textile artist and designer Mia Hultgren, educated at The Royal College of Art in London. aparts have small-scale production and also work with site-specific assignments.
